A trip to Melbourne

Well I have finally recovered enough to be able to write about my big adventure to Melbourne on the weekend! I had a wonderful time and was very good for Mum and Dad!!! I got to hang out with Uncle John and Auntie Ada!!!

On Friday morning I was very good and didnt cry at all on the plane with Mummy! We got off the plane to find Dad, John and Ada waiting for us. I had big cuddles with them all and we went home to their place for a relaxing afternoon chatting and playing! I had a big cuddle with Uncle John on the couch!

On Saturday morning I had a bit of a snooze and didnt wake up until 8.30am! It was cold and overcast like always in Melbourne! Ada and John took us all for a trip to the Dandenong Ranges. We had a great time checking out a special reserve that has scupltures scattered through out the bush! Dad and John did lyrebird dancing like the artist did!!! The big people had yummy gold medal winning pies for lunch and then had a wander to check out all of the nice shops in Sassafrass and Olinda. Mummy bought some chocolate and Daddy bought some coffee!

Here is a picture of us all in the bush.

On Sunday morning John and Ada took us for a big walk around Royal Park which is right near their house! It was a lovely sunny day for a change in Melbourne. It all got a bit too much for me so I took a little snooze on Daddy's chest!

We came back to the house and Ada cooked up some very YUMMY buttermilk pancakes! Then we got back on the plane and came home! I was very good again on the plane and got to lie down and have a snooze! I like this flying thing and cant wait until my next big adventure!!!

This week has been very quiet while I recover from my weekend! I am going to Grannie Annies tomorrow and Grandma and Grandpa Milne are home from Japan so I will catch up with them soon as well.

Grannie Annie's Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday Grannie Annie!!!

I had a wonderful weekend with everyone down at Pottsville celebrating Grannie Annie's Birthday on Saturday!!! Mummy, Daddy and GA drove down to the beach on Friday night while I was asleep so I got to wake up down there. Pa and Uncle Alexander came down on Saturday after they had finished rowing coaching.

We had a lovely weekend even if it was a bit cold and rainy. I had lots of cuddles and play time with Pa and GA and even with Uncle Alex!!

I gave Grannie Annie some paints and a canvas so that we can paint a picture for the beach house. We are then going to stick shells and pebbles to it over time so that it is a work in progress.
Alex, Mum and Dad gave GA a digital camera so that she can take lots of photos and see them straight away! We are a bit worried about Grannie using it seeing as she is only learning about technology (she just learnt how to SMS on the weekend! Next she will have a blog like me!!)
I have to wait until Uncle Alex shows GA how to down load her photos and then I can use one on here to show you.
Yesterday we went to the Pottsville Markets and Daddy bought more than Mummy!!! That is a big surprise because he didn't even want to go! Next I am going to take him to the Bangalow Markets because they have great stuff for kids!!!
I have had an exhausting weekend so I am going to sleep now. I am really looking forward to this weekend as I am going on a big plane to visit Uncle John in Melbourne! Scary!

Pa's special book

On Friday 7th October, my Pa launched his special book about rowing. Mummy and I went over to his house through the afternoon to help set things up so that they looked nice for the 20 people coming to dinner. I got to play with my friends Sophie and Annabel during the afternoon. Here is a photo with Sophie. She is a big girl now and she likes swimming with Pa. I will one day as well.

I was very well behaved at the special dinner. I was awake for alittle bit and got to have lovely cuddles with all of the Rowing Ladies and then I went straight to sleep.
The next day Mummy went to the opening of the new rowing shed and I had a lovely morning with Daddy watching Bathurst! He taught me all about Mt Panorama and that the blue cars are the best. I dont like the red ones!

A Somerville Girl I will be!

Friday week ago, my Mum took me to her old school for a special service called Commemoration Day. I got dressed up in a very pretty dress and had my hair brushed. When we got there we met some of Mummy's friends and sat down in the thrid front row (big mistake on Mummy's behalf!) It was a lovely service and my friend Sophie did a lovely Bible reading and said the School Pledge. Then just as it was drawing to a close they decided to have a violin soloist. I have decided that I dont like violins!!! Grannie Annie can teach me Piano but I am not going near another one of those violins! I screamed so hard Mummy had to run out of the hall to stop me. Some very nice Grade 12 girls came out and looked after me for a while.

Here is a photo of me and Mummy with my friend Sophie Josephs our next door neighbour and Somerville House Vice Captain! I will wear a dress like that one day!

I went SWIMMING

I really have no choice in being a water baby do I? Seeing as my Dad just loves surfing and water skiing and my Mum was a Scuba Diver!!

So it should come as no surprise that at 16 weeks old I went for my first swim in the pool!! Pa took me for a paddle. I liked the cool water on my feet at first and giggled with delight but then I found it a bit cold on my bottom and I wasnt so sure about it then! Here are some photos!
This morning was such a lovely morning and I had such a good nights sleep that I woke up so happy! I love it when my Dad comes into to see me first thing in the morning. Here are some photos of me waking up. Cute aren't I?!?!?

I'm Glad it's Monday!

Wheew What a weekend! I am exhausted from all the things we did!!

On Friday night Mum and I cooked a delicious dinner for Dad. They had Coral Trout with coconut and coriander sauce with steamed vegetables on a bed of coconut rice. I so wish I had teeth so I could have had some!!!!
On Saturday morning we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to meet their friends Anne and John who were up from Rosewood for the weekend. We had a lovely brunch and I had lots of cuddles. This is a photo with Anne.

Then on Saturday afternoon we went to visit Scott and Lauren. I had a great play and got to watch Baxter and Taylor run around crazy.

On Sunday Mum and Dad took me for breakfast to a cafe and I was very well behaved. I slept and then I sat up and smiled at everybody who walked past! I am good at that!

Later on in the after noon Pa and Uncle Alex came over and I helped them mix concrete to replace one of the stums under the house. I played out in the back yard for a while after that with everyone including Cooper and April. Here is a photo of us all on the lawn.

I had great cuddles with Grannie Annie as well.

After playing outside, Dad cooked a BBQ and we all sat down to watch the poor Cowboys. Very Sad! I went to bed then.

I am going to get weighed today because I am 16 weeks old. I will let you all know how much of a porker I am next entry!
